Supportive Exercise
Supportive exercise focuses on pets who cannot support their own body weight. Harnesses, slings and other methods of support are utilized to help your pet stand and bear weight. The goal is for the pet to regain functional ability and movement, leading to a better quality of life.
Supportive or passive exercises include non-weight bearing or assisted weight bearing, no impact. These exercises are used in early surgical recovery, to increase range of motion, and for neurological patients who have difficulty bearing weight.
