Since you will be consulting with our Internal Medicine department today, we want to give you some helpful information to ensure your experience at CARE goes as smoothly as possible.

In many cases, procedures can be completed the same day as consult, and procedures are done during afternoon hours. Because of this, we do not recommend visiting today. We want your pet to be awake and able to visit with you, so you may inquire about visiting when you receive an update call later today.

CARE visiting hours are 12:00pm until 10:00pm. To prepare for the best visit with your pet, please call the Client Care team with the time you plan to arrive. This can help to ensure that you are able to get the most out of your visit. Please be aware that you will not be meeting with the doctor at this time, however, one of our team members will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Today the specialist will develop a diagnostic and treatment plan, which will outline the recommended diagnostic testing and treatments and will also include a cost estimate. All patients admitted to the hospital will receive a plan that includes the length of stay, and any changes in treatment plans will be communicated to you.

Once you have received your treatment plan it is our policy at Care Veterinary Center to collect a deposit for the services, which will be reviewed with you by one of our Client Care Specialists.

CARE accepts cash, check through global payment systems or Visa, Mastercard Discover or American Express. For your convenience, we also offer CARE Credit, which offers several repayment terms. You can apply online at carecredit.com or ask one of our client care specialists for assistance.

The Doctor will call you after your pet’s procedure with initial results and additional plans for treatment if necessary.

Discharge from CARE generally occurs between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. When you arrive for discharge, the receptionist will close out your final bill, and you will meet with a technician to go over discharge instructions.  This will include reviewing current results, a plan for pending results, any medications, a schedule for recheck consultations (if necessary) and to answer any additional questions you may have.

Thank you again for trusting us with your cherished pet. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at (301) 368-6304.
